Valencia are desperately trying to hang on to Francisco Alcacer as both Arsenal and Barcelona aim to swoop for the young star.
Alcacer, who is also nicknamed Paco, is one of the best young stars in Valencia's squad, and has represented Spain at both U-16 and U-19 levels. His performances and potential has led to both Arsenal and Barcelona's interest, but according to reports in talkSPORT, Valencia will be seeking contract renewal talks with the youngster in order to try to keep him at the club.
His current deal with Valencia expires in 2013, and further reports indicate that the La Liga club are trying to keep Paco by extending his current deal that would add a further three years to his contract.
However, the 18-year-old may be more keen to leave the Estadio Mestalla to forget painful memories of his father, who passed away at the Valencia stadium on August 2011, after a 3-0 friendly win against AS Roma from a heart-attack, despite efforts from medics to revive the 44-year-old.
